IFO
Industrial folder
Folder for medium and large items.
The “IFO” series folder is designed and produced to fold flat linen of a variety of sizes, from table overlays to bedsheets. A versatile and highly useful machine, it is usually included downstream from an ironing line and, thanks to the accessories, the operator is able to personalise the folding cycle according to different needs.
The side stacker is an optional that is used to stack folded and cross-folded items; the number of items to be stacked can be selected by the operator. Stacking takes place by means of a rotary blade that overturns the items creating stacks. It can be installed either on the left or the right side and with the conveyor direction either backwards or forwards (this information must be specified on the order form).
The machine can have a third length fold to complete the folding cycle. It is required when the size of the items is so large that more complete folding is needed. The third length fold enables three length folds resulting in the final dimension of the folded item being slightly more than 1/8 of the initial dimension. The addition of this optional in any case always allows use of the machine with the two-folds configuration.
When the machine is connected to the ironer the folder speed can be synchronised with that of the ironer in order to be able to easily change the speed of the entire operating line without needing to adjust each machine individually.
The linen reject is an optional that allows the operator to send a signal to the machine if the linen item is dirty or torn such that the item will be rejected on the front side without being folded and thus easily recognisable by the operator.
The linen reject on bar version has the same features as the optional Linen reject but instead consists of a set of buttons located on a bar, usually found on the ironer or on the feeder where these do not have reject function.
The length folds bypass version is an essential optional when the operator needs to remove the linen on the rear of of the machine without any folds.
This accessory is required when accessories are installed on the back of the machine such as collectors for small items, folders for small items FSI.
The antistatic bars are used to reduce the static electricity that is produced during ironing and folding. This phenomenon is significantly accentuated when the items are mostly synthetic.
This optional allows the simultaneous use of three work lines but in this configuration the items can only be folded longitudinally and collection of the item will only take place on the rear of the machine.
This optional allows the simultaneous use of four work lines but in this configuration the items can only be folded longitudinally and collection of the item will only take place on the rear of the machine.
The rear 2-lines collector is an accessory that allows the collection of small items (napkins, pillowcases) from the rear of the machine. It consists of 2 work lines that are able to work simultaneously. The collector can be installed either on the left rear or on the right rear side of the machine (this information must be specified on the purchase order form)
The rear 4-lines collector is an accessory that allows the collection of small items (napkins, pillowcases) from the rear of the machine. It consists of 4 work lines that are able to work simultaneously.
The remote service system is an optional that allows the control, set-up and updating of the machine from a remote terminal. The customer must have available within the plant a high-speed Internet network.
The standard electrical supply of the machine is 400V ~3N + T 50 Hz
Any other eletrical supply will be evaluated on request.
The side stacker is an accessory that allows stacking of the folded and cross-folded items; the number of items to be stacked can be selected by the operator. Stacking of the items takes place by means of a pneumatic drop-away system. It can be installed either on the left or on the right side and with the conveyor direction backwards or forwards (this information must be be specified on the order form). This type of stacker is more compact and less bulky than the blade type.
